Unlike Hindi Medium, the Angrezi Medium movie is not much engaging. Though performance of every actor is remarkable, you will lose interest after the first half of the movie. In the second half of the movie, there are a lot of elements in the story, which seem unnecessary and unsupportive to the story. The problem with the film is that there are too many sub-plots, it weakens the storyline. The screenplay is disjointed and diverted from the main theme of the film.
Talking about the first half of the film, it is very engaging and subtle. The father-daughter relationship is portrayed with immense love and care. Undoubtedly, it brings tears in the eyes. Irrfan has aced the role of a father as usual, and Radhika, totally shined throughout the film as his daughter.
Pankaj Tripathi: He is one of the finest actors in Bollywood in the present time. Although his screen time was quite less, he left an impressive mark in the minds of the audience. He is hilarious as always and his pauses between the dialogues are killer.
Ranvir Shorey: He is really funny as Bobby in the film. But, honestly, his entry was not pleasing for the audience. His entry was rapid and forgettable. But later on, as the story progresses, the character becomes bearable for the audience.
Kareena Kapoor Khan: Her character as a cop was not fully developed. So the audience doesn’t get too attached to her. There was a need for more screen time of Kareena to fully understand her character as it looked complicated. But, for whatever time she was on screen, she nailed it.
Dimple Kaparida: You will know more about her character than Kareena. Her screen presence was really strong and it helped the audience to glue to the film. With the entry of Dimple and Kareena, the story became less hasty and flowed smoothly. Their presence controlled the catastrophic situation in the story in a brilliant way.
