Sushant’s death case: NCB arrests drug pedlar who was in touch with Rhea’s brother Showik

Narcotics Control Bureau is investigating the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. Some of them are arrested by NCB. According to the latest report, Samuel Miranda had a connection with Abdul Basit and Showik.

SSR’s case is not just being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation but the NCB is also probing the drugs angle. Soon after several Whatsapp conversations related to drugs were revealed, the NCB is working actively in this case.

The agencies said on Wednesday that it has arrested Abdul Basit Parihar from Mumbai’s Bandra. “He had a connection with Samuel Miranda. Miranda is accused of procuring drugs on instructions of Showik Chakraborty (the brother of prime accused and SSR’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty),” news agency ANI quoted NCB as saying.

Miranda is Rajput’s former housekeeping manager. He was appointed by Rhea Chakraborty in May 2019. Rajput’s family has made many serious allegations against Miranda for helping Rhea in the siphoning of his money and in supplying drugs. Recent WhatsApp chats between Showik Chakraborty and a drug supplier revealed that Rhea’s brother was allegedly sourcing drugs for his father Indrajit Chakraborty.

The NCB has also arrested Zaid Vilatra in connection with this case as Zaid is understood to be in the supply of analgesics like bud or curated marijuana to the high-end party circles of Mumbai.

Rhea Chakraborty in a recent interview had spoken that Sushant Singh Rajput was involved in drugs and she tried to stop him from doing this. Through her lawyer’s statement, Rhea had also claimed that she had never consumed drugs and is ready to take blood tests. But on the other hand, Sushant’s father KK Singh released a video statement where he said, “Rhea Chakraborty was giving poison to my son Sushant for a long time, she is a murderer. The investigating agency must arrest her and her associates.”
